Plastic model kit, figure, and hobby-related product manufacturer and vendor Kotobukiya CO., LTD. announces the release of the legendary Formula One racer “Ayrton Senna,” a three-time World Grand Champion under the supervision of the Ayrton Senna Foundation. To commemorate his 15th death anniversary, Kotobukiya CO., LTD. is celebrating his legacy by introducing a 3-D sculpture–the finest statue of him to date. This will be the first time for Kotobukiya to release a statue from the sports genre.
About Ayrton Senna FINE ART STATUE
● A collectible statue of the legendary Brazilian driver, “Ayrton Senna,” who captured the hearts of Formula One worldwide fans between 1988-1994.
● A product concept that aims to brings back memorial scenes through 3-D sculptures: his Truman years when he begin driving as a Formula One racer, his almighty McLaren days, and his Williams Renault days in 1994 when he truly became a legend.
● The Senna Ayrton Foundation and Kotobukiya will be donating a portion of the revenue to poverty-fighting and child education charities.

● Stands over 30cm tall (1/6 scale), and uses cold cast as the definitive material, allowing the sculptor to recapture the motif in hyper-detailed accuracy.

Kotobukiya attends NEW YORK TOYFAIR 2009 - part2
When we began setting up our booth, we had tons of boxes and wrapping material
to laying around the floor. By the end of the day we where pretty much cleaned and tightened up with number of items ready to be shown to all of our customers and fans out there!
Gorgeously displayed in pink with crystal bases, Kotobukiya’s cute and sexy anime/ mange girl statues - ANI*STATUES are waiting to be shown. This year we are displaying products from popular licenses such as To Heart 2, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kannagi, Sengoku Lance, Toaru Majyutsu no Index. Here is a photo I took after everything was set:

Day 4 (February 14th)
First look at Scarlet Witch Marvel Bishoujo! How can you go wrong with specially designed sexy and cute bishojo statue by Shunya Yamashita? You simply can’t! Kotobukiya attends NEW YORK TOYFAIR 2009 - part 1
Hello to all our great and loving fans out there! Kotobukiya is very happy to annouce that we will be attending New York Toyfair 2009 again! Staffs from both our Tokyo home office and L .A office are now in New York preparing for the show, that will begin officially from February 15-18th. Our Show Room at 1115 Broadway will be open from the 14th for early arrivers.
We will be reporting the event from both our News section here and our Japanese blog here!
Day 1 (February 11th)
Ok so this is how our long journey begins! Off course like any exciting trip to abroad it involves jumping on to a plane from Narita to your final destination. For us it was New Ark Airport in New York.
I was accompanied by Natsuko from our International Division. We where pretty busy untill the very last minute before the flight so when we got on the plane both of us fell asleep in a short time. Watching couple movies like “Homeless Chugakusei” and “Paco and The Magical Book ” we arrived safely in one piece to New York.
The first day was travel day so we really could not do much. Since we had a little time before we went to bed, we took a short walk around the block. Both our show room and hotel is located in pretty much the center of New York, or shall I say Midtown. As you can see above we are staying near an area called Broadway with tons of neon lights, big screens, musical theaters, shops and more.
Now I have to say Ive seen pretty odd and interesting things in Tokyo,but I have never seen something like this before…a police stations with bright blue neon lights! How cool is that? Have you seen something like this? It sure does fit in this part part of the town.
Day 2 (February 12th)
I forgot to mention another thing I was surprised at in New York. Before I left Japan I was expecting New York to be extremely called compared to Japan. However when I was walking outside the other night I really did not have any issues with the weather. In fact with the sort of clothing I was wearing it was just about right.
So this day we went to our show room and really got down and working. I have to say time does really fly when you are working with a time limit. Our process was basically, take down and clear out what ever junk we had from our last New York Toy Fair and unpack all the goodies and precious, precious prototypes out of the boxes we sent from Tokyo. We will be showing lots of new products at our show and off course for our special fans and readers we will take photos and upload them here!
I will upload photos tonight of “The Evolution of Kotobukiya Show Room from messy to fancy!” Photos of never seen products will also be uploaded on to this News section this week so make sure to keep this page book marked and come back for more fun and footage!
